A Winter Wonderland Wedding
Brooke and Mark had a winter wonderland theme for their wedding. What was different was the aisle decorations at Heinz Chapel were white branches with blue bows. Was so beautiful. I felt was so much more striking than a flower bouquet. The girls wore deep blue gowns and all had matching white stoles. Brooke had a long white cape with a fur hood. Her mom made the cakes, there were 6 , all arranged with snowflakes and tiers on the cake table. The table arrangements at the LeMont were tall vases filled with sand with white branches and snowflakes hanging from the branches. Their wedding truly was a winter wonderland!

Kathy and John
Kathy and Johns' wedding was scheduled for Sat Feb 6. As you know, we were hit with the blizzard overnight on the 5th. In view of the fact power was down and streets were blocked they were able to re-schedule for Sunday the 7th. St Bernards had to get special permission from the archbishop to have a Sunday wedding. The Priory had no problem, had suggested it, actually. So, after a lot of phone calls, their wedding turned out beautifully on the 7th and they were able to leave for their honeymoon Monday morning as planned.

Book Designs
I was thinking that it might be nice to create a webshow of some book designs. So, these are a few that I pulled from the website. The books I create are "magazine style". Meaning, the images are part of the page. Some may be placed as the background and all are permanently bound into the book. We include all graphic designs services in our packages and never charge for special effects. If you like selective color, soft focus, b&w or sepia, we'll include those at no charge to you. There are many cover styles that we can offer such as full photo wrap, metallic, acrylic, leathers and two tones. All my designs are custom. I start with a list of your favorite images and create spreads to compliment them. I also design to reflect your taste, to simple spreads or more elaborate collage pages. Your wedding is unique and I feel your wedding book should be "one of a kind" also! The four I put here are just a few of the many on my website under client proofing. Feel free to browse! We also do designs for clients who have the copyrights to their images.

Lauren and Anthony had Mike Wertz from Caustolet Farms bring his beautiful horse Prince and carriage to their wedding. Lauren rode from the 20th Century Club to Heinz Chapel. After their wedding Lauren and Anthony were driven to Mellon Institute and back to the 20th Century Club. The weather was beautiful and it was a romantic and memorable ride! Rainy Day Wedding
Its always a challenge when it's a rainy day. Thats what happened to Autumn and Justin. The rain started just as we were leaving St Richards and heading outside. But they just went with the flow (!). After giving it a few minutes, they just gathered all the umbrellas and did some outdoor photos. This was in the North Hills at a private home and close the Marriott Cranberry for their reception.

Holly and Mark
Holly and Mark were married at Trinity Cathedral in Pgh with their reception at the Westmoreland Country Club. She was absolutely radiant in her gorgeous gown with an heirloom ring pinned onto her slip. Her hair was pinned on one side with a flower and left long to flow down her back. Her girls wore black tea length dresses to go with their black and white theme. Mark was at Trinity Cathedral when I arrived. He and the guys had a few photos and then Mark's parents and sister who was also in the wedding party. The ceremony was impressive, especially from the balconey and surrounded by the churchs flags. Afterwards we took photos around the church and then headed for the Westmoreland CC. The ballroom was absolutely stunning, Holly and Mark did an incredible job with the planning. The country club decorated their cup cake/cake to match the decor. Everything was coordinated and was so beautiful. A very elegant wedding!

Rachel and Craig
I met Craig at the Renaissance Hotel and we did photographs on the 6th St bridge. It was a beautiful day and he had the guys with him along with his 2 brothers. It was a lot of fun, they were great to work with!
Rachel was getting dressed in her hotel room and we headed there next. Allison Roth from "Eyelashes by Allison" was doing her makeup. Did some window shots of her and off to United Methodist Calvery Church on the north side. Beautiful big church!
Location photos were at the PPG and then the 6th St bridge. The bridge was closed, was a Pirate game and there were hundreds of people going to PNC Park. Everyone was congratulating them! We got the bridal party spread out across the bridge-the crowd held back while we got a few quick shots- Back at the Renaissance Tony got all the guests on the staircase for a group shot. He's the absolute best! Their reception was beautiful, The Renaissance is so elegant-staff and chef truly 4 diamond. At the end of the evening PNC had awesome fireworks. We got amazing shots with Rachel and Craig in front of the windows overlooking the park. It was a wonderful wedding! Enjoy the webshow!

Nicole and Nick
I did Nicole's sister Amanda's wedding in 2006 and today was her day! Arrived at her home in Glenshaw and was nice to see her mom, dad and Amanda again. Nicole has gorgeous long red curly hair. She is a stunning bride! The wedding was at Ingomar United Methodist, which I've been to many times including Amanda's wedding. The church is big and bright and a great place to photograph in. After family photos we headed to Twelve Oaks Mansion in Mars. It's on top of a hill and it was very windy. One of my favorite shots is of Nicole and Nick with Nicole's hair blowing across both their faces. They are a wonderful couple and we have lots of great shots. Nick was on the dance floor all night with the bridal party. Lots of great candids!
August 15-just finished the design for Nicole and Nick's wedding book. It is a magazine style in a 10x10 size with 21 spreads. Once approved, they will select their cover. This is the link to it:

New York City Engagement
Lauren and Nick live in NYC and wanted their engagement session there. So, we headed to NY and met them at Bryant Park. It was very crowded (NYC!!) but still got photos in front, by the lions, the carousel and off to the side. We then headed to Grand Central Station for a few shots. While there Stacy and Clinton from "What Not to Wear" were filming and saw them before wisked off to where ever! Did some cool shots on the subway and then to their apartment on the East Side to change and relax a bit. Ruppert Park is close by and its where they go read and relax. So we did some shots there. Lauren actually hung from a jungle gym bar and did the upside down kiss! It was a fun day! Their wedding is Oct 23 at the Hydeholde.

Valerie and Jason
Valerie lives close to me and went to the same high school as my daughter. Her family is so nice, and she was a gorgeous bride! I had done engagement photos of her and Jason last autumn in North Park. Anyway, she had all her bridesmaids at the house and they all helped her get dressed. The ceremony was at Zion Lutheran on Brownsville Rd and their reception was at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott. On route we stopped at Campbells Run for photos at the waterfall. The photos of her and Jason with the waterfall in the background are awesome!Since this was the 4th of July they celebrated with sparklers in the courtyard. They are back from their honeymoon and we are setting up a trash the dress session. Trying to decide where to go-let you know when that is up!
This is a show from their engagement session North Park. The leaves were beautiful!
Was a perfect day.

Toniann and Shawn
Toniann and Shawn's wedding was at the Marco Island Resort and Spa in Marco Island Florida on June 28. We went down a few days earlier to sight-see and relax on the beach. Their wedding was on the beach in the evening. It was so beautiful, had a palm roofed canopy they stood under with the ocean in the background. Guests were seated in chairs arranged in front. Toniann came down the walkway from the hotel on her dads arm. After their kiss and as they turned to face their guests, the wind picked up. The sky got very dark and started blowing really hard. Everyone headed for the hotel and made it there just as storm hit. Didn't last long, but so glad it held off until after the vows! The reception was in the ballroom following. The next morning we met them for a day after session on the beach. It was very early but they did a few shots and then we headed to the airport. Great couple, great setting!

Las Croabas, Puerto Rico

We arrived in San Juan Tuesday May 12 for a few days of sightseeing before photographing a wonderful wedding. April and Steve were joined by 90 friends and family members from the Pittsburgh area for their wedding at the El Conquistador Resort in Puerto Rico. The weather was tropical and breezy and the setting couldn't have been more perfect. April brought her couture gown and shoes (Manolo Blahnik's from Sex in the City-the movie) along with destination tuxs for the guys.
They had a rehearsal party on Friday night at the Mirrador Terrace featuring roasted suckling pig, skewers of swordfish, grilled chicken, penne pasta w/tomato pesto and for dessert Tres Leches a Dessert. Entertainment included a DJ and Puerto Rican dancers who had everyone on the dance floor practicing their steps!
Saturday morning everyone gathered for a group photo with their wedding weekend tee shirt. Afterwards everyone either relaxed on Palomino Island for a few hours of swimming and sunbathing or hung out at one of the many pools, hot tubs and infinity pools surrounding the resort.
Their wedding took place in the Casitas Garden overlooking the Caribbean. The girls wore ocean blue and guys were island sand.
There was a tropical breeze blowing and the ceremony concluded just before sunset.
The guests headed over to Trellises for cocktails and hor d'oeurves.
After a few family photos, it was off to the Pablo Casels Ballroom for their reception. It was fabulous! The room was draped with sheer fabric which glowed with pin lighting.
Their cake was spotlit with soft blue lights and they had trees lit with candlelight surrounding their table and tall vases of flowers decorating each table. Their sit down dinner featured Shrimp cocktail, Ensalada Romana, Lemon Sorbet, El Conquistador Signature Entree, chocolate shells with chocolate mousse, fresh fruit, Coulis and traditional Ruerto Rico wedding cake. Their guests danced to a 7 piece band with 3 singers who played a variety of music to the enjoyment of their family and friends.
Sunday morning everyone was treated to breakfast at Casitas Cafe at their leisure. Most guests again headed off to swim, horseback ride or to excursions around the resort. We joined April and Steve at Palomino Island for a few photos in the in the surf with her wedding gown and Steve in casual khakis and cotton shirt. Another gorgeous day!
Afterwards we went on to the rainforest and did after dark kayaking at the BioLuminescense Bay. Monday morning came way too quick as we had to pack and head home! Many thanks to April and Steve and their families for treating us as guests and for the privilege of photographing this once in a lifetime event.

Ashley and Rob
Ashley and Rob were married at the Mt Lebanon U Methodist and that's were we started their day. They didn't see each other prior, but both were photographed with the church in the background. She had a gorgeous gown and the bridemaids were pretty in pink!
Headed to Chartiers CC for outdoor photos and their reception. Day was beautiful and their evening was perfect! Everyone was on the dance floor and they ended the evening by driving off in a balloon filled car!

PITTSBURGH Magazine
Rebecca and John's wedding images will be feartured in Pgh Mag in their bridal issue in December. They had a Jimmy Buffet themed wedding at the Sheraton Station Square. Her mom actually designed and created her gown, the flower girls dresses and all the table linens. The tables were amazing with palm trees and coconuts. They also had a cupcake cake! Read all about their wedding in the magazine- these are a few pages from their book.

PETS
Our home is animal friendly- we have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 4 birds, 2 rabbits and a horse.
This is in memory of our beloved little dog Kipper who passed away June 27. He was with us for 10 years and was Dani's "little old man, her bubby". We miss you terribly.

I have 4 parakeets at my office. There is a very good chance that when you'll hear them singing in the background. Everyone asks me if I have birds! They can get very loud, I admit. But I do like them!

Anna and Joe's Wedding in NYC
Were in NYC in December photographing Anna and Joe's wedding. We were on the Long Island Pier and it was bitter cold. But the girls bravely tossed off their coats and we had a great time on the Long Island Pier. Ater their reception we continued on with photos in and around the city, including Grand Central Staion, Museum, taxi and fav hot dog stand! Ended the evening at Joe's apartment on Long Island with the city in the background. Was a lot of fun!
Trip to LA
Nicole and I had a wonderful trip to LA in January. Was a nice break from the routine. The glass bldg with the palm trees is one of my favorite images-feel it captures the LA feel. I loved Venice, such a unique place to live! We also toured Warner Bros Studio, saw the La Brea Tar Pits, rode on horseback in the Hollywood Hills, went to the Santa Monica Pier, Rodeo Dr and checked out Kat Von Do's High Voltage Tattoo. We stayed right on Hollywood Blvd, and managed to find out way around w/o any problems. A great time!
